Istanbul Medipol University

About The University and its majors:

1. The university has 12 schools with 74 departments, 73 Master's and PhD programs, and 109 majors at the University's Vocational Schools.
2. The university also has 15 research centers and agreements with 62 universities in Europe. More than 30,000 students are currently studying at the university, 1000 academic staff and foreign students from about 12 different countries.
3. The University includes the International School of Medicine, which is considered one of the best medical schools in English in Turkey, as The University has one of the largest private hospitals in Turkey, "Mega Medipol Hospital Complex," which includes four centers: General Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Cardiovascular Surgery Hospital, and Dental Hospital.
4. The hospital has 470 medical beds, 133 intensive care units (ICU), 246 clinics and 25 operating rooms. These are all available to students during the study and training period.
5. The International School of Medicine is 100% in the English. Therefore, there is a foundation year for language. The university administration every year sponsors the best students travel to America for a year-long foundation.

The University Campuses:

The university has three campuses, so let me introduce you to the different ones in some detail:

The first campus:

1. The first campus is the same Hospital Complex, and it is located in Bağcılar district on the European side of Istanbul. The housing prices for a two-room apartment with a hall start from 2,200 Liras. But if you go down a little in Al-Fatih Mahallesi district, you will find the same area, and the rental prices there start from 1500 liras.

The Second Campus:

1. The second campus is The Gulf Campus, in Turkish: Kampüs Haliç. It is almost within the historical district in Al-Fatih and very close to the Galata Bridge and the metro station. The housing is available in that area, but beside the university, you will find an area called Yavuz Sultan Selim mahallesi, and the rental prices there start from 2000 Liras.
2. The Campus includes the Graduate School of Health Sciences and the Graduate School of Health Services, such as: Diet and Nutrition, Child Development, Obstetrics, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Audiology, General Services, except Health Administration specialty, it is available in English and Turkish. The tuition fees for the theses departments are $6,000 for the academic year.
3. The study of the following departments is available in the morning or evening, and in English or Turkish, such as: Anesthesiology, Pharmacy Services, Physiotherapy, Emergency and First Aids, Pathology and Laboratory Sciences, Secretarial and Medical Archiving.
4. The departments studied in Turkish are: Oral and Dental Health - Operating Room Services, Prosthetic Technology, Dialysis, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratories and other specialties. The tuition fees there are $3250.

The Third Campus:

1. The third and largest campus is the Kavacık Kampüsü, in the Beykoz area on the Asian side of Istanbul. The Campus is exactly next to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, and next to the famous forests of Beykoz. The housing prices in the surrounding area, Kavacık Mahallesi, start from 1,500 Liras for a two-room apartment with a hall.

The Southern Campus includes:

1. The International School of Medicine in English is for $29,000
2. The School of Medicine in Turkish is for $23,000
3. The school of Dentistry costs $20,000 for studying in English, and $18500 for studying in Turkish.
4. The Schools of Pharmacy and Law in Turkish language only are for $9,500
5. The College of Health Sciences has departments in both English and Turkish, such as Nursing, Physiotherapy, Health Management and Speech, for $6,500.
6. Departments such in Turkish only such as the departments of Diet and Nutrition, Audiology, Artificial Limbs and others cost $6,500.
7. The School of Fine Arts Design and Architecture has departments of Architecture and Interior Design in English and Turkish for $7,380.
8. It also has others in Turkish only such as: Industrial Design, Music and others for $6,075
9. The specialties of Social and Literary Sciences have departments in both languages, such as: Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, International Trade, International Logistics Management, Information Systems Management, Political Science, International Relations and Psychological Counseling for $6,075
10. And others in Turkish only such as the School of Education for $6,075

The Northern Campus in the university includes:

1. The School of Engineering and all its departments are in English, such as: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Civil Engineering for $7,380. The department of Civil Engineering is also available in Turkish at the same cost.
