History 

MEF University was founded in Istanbul, Turkey in 2012 by the MEF Education Institutions, a prominent educational organization with over 30 years of experience in providing high-quality education in Turkey. The establishment of the university was a response to the growing demand for a new type of university that focused on research, innovation, and internationalization. MEF University aimed to provide a new model of education that emphasized critical thinking, creativity, and practical skills that would prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.  

The university's first programs were in the areas of business, economics, and international relations. Over the years, the university has expanded its offerings to include programs in engineering, law, humanities, and social sciences. Several other rankings have also analyzed the university, with Edu rank website ranking it as the 127th best in Turkey and 35th in Istanbul.  

Despite its short existence, MEF has made significant progress compared to other universities in Turkey, as evidenced by its rankings. There is potential for MEF, and its flipped education method, to continue to advance and become one of the leading universities in the region in the near future. 

School of Foreign Languages 

MEF University's School of Foreign Languages (SFL) is dedicated to providing students with the language skills necessary to succeed in today's globalized world. SFL offers a range of courses that cover English language proficiency, as well as other foreign languages such as German, French, Spanish, and Japanese.
